What Happens After You Book: Request to Re-Clean
September 13, 2026 · PaulClean, Greater Seattle
You've picked the items, seen the price and chosen a time. Here's everything that happens next, in order, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
1. Your request is recorded
A booking on the site is a request, not a charge. It's recorded as pending, we're notified immediately, and nothing is taken from a card — there is no deposit and nothing is paid online.
2. We confirm it
We look at the request and confirm it, or, if the time doesn't work, suggest another. You get an email either way — and a text if you agreed to booking texts. A confirmation text reads "You're confirmed for [day and time]", lists the items and the total, and invites you to text back with questions. The appointment goes onto our work calendar.
If we can't take the time you asked for, the message says so and asks you to text us to find another one. It happens; it's not a rejection.
3. Before the day
- Carpets: pick up small things off the floor. We move light furniture and clean around the heavy pieces; if a room will stay furnished, the Room is not empty toggle in the calculator already priced it that way.
- Sofas and mattresses: nothing to do. Strip the bed for a mattress.
- House cleaning: nothing to do either — we bring all supplies. Put away what you'd rather we didn't touch.
- Pets: somewhere they're comfortable for a couple of hours. The equipment is loud.
4. The day
- We arrive in the window you chose and walk through with you first: what's booked, what we see, whether anything doesn't match. That's the moment the price could move, and the only one — see the article on how we quote.
- Fabric check, then the clean: a treatment matched to each stain, hot water extraction, a rinse.
- A final look together. If a mark is the fiber rather than dirt, we show you.
Your price won't change on-site — the one exception
5. Drying
Carpet and upholstery are walk-on dry in 3–5 hours and fully dry in 12–24. Open a window if you can. Keep pets off the carpet until it's dry, and keep furniture with metal feet off it a little longer — the marks are avoidable.
6. Paying
When the job is complete and you've seen it: card on the technician's phone, cash, or an invoice or payment link we send you. The number is the one from the calculator.
7. Points
Every cleaning earns loyalty points on your account, and you can spend them on the next one. Refer a friend and you both earn points toward your next cleaning.
8. The 48-hour window
If something isn't right — a spot reappeared as it dried, a corner got missed — tell us within 48 hours and we come back and re-clean it, free. That's the guarantee on every job.
30 seconds. No address, no call. The price you see is the price.
