Move-In Cleaning: Do It Before the Boxes Arrive

The previous people cleaned for their inspection, not for you. Their cleaner had a checklist and a deadline; the inside of the fridge got a wipe, the closets got emptied, and the carpet got whatever it got. An empty home is the cheapest deep clean it will ever have, and it's only empty for a few days.

What a move-in clean covers

Everything in a deep clean, plus the insides that only make sense to do when the home is empty:

• Everything in a Deep clean: baseboards, doors and frames, blinds, ceiling fans, light fixtures within reach, switches, vent covers, corners, the deeper kitchen and bathroom pass.
• Inside kitchen cabinets and drawers — before your dishes go in.
• Inside bathroom cabinets.
• Inside the oven and inside the refrigerator.
• Empty closets and shelves.
• Spots normally hidden by furniture — which is all of them, right now.

What it costs

Flat price by bedrooms and bathrooms, the same grid as every house clean:

• Move-in/out clean, 2 bed / 2 bath$395
• Move-in/out clean, 3 bed / 2 bath$445

Other sizes are in the calculator. Larger homes add a small amount per extra block of space; the calculator asks only when it matters.

Add the carpets to the same order

Empty rooms are also the only time a carpet can be cleaned wall to wall with nothing to work around. Add the bedrooms, the living room and the staircase to the same order in the calculator; pick a time for each, or tick Same day and we'll find a day with an opening for both. One booking, one confirmation.

• Order: house clean first, carpets last.
• Carpet is walk-on dry in 3–5 hours and fully dry in 12–24 — clean it the day before the movers, not the morning of.
• Stains and pet odors from the previous occupants are included in the room price.

Carpet cleaning cost by room

Timing it

• Best: the day after you get the keys, before anything is delivered.
• Fine: the day before the movers — book the carpets for the morning so they're dry by evening.
• Still worth it: the week after, with the boxes stacked in one room. We clean around them; that room gets the Room is not empty toggle in the calculator, everything else is empty.

Then keep it that way

A home that starts clean stays clean on a regular plan — every two weeks, the same list, cheaper per visit. If that's the plan, say so at the move-in booking and we'll set the repeats from the date you pick.
